Introduction

Under the slogan "the message of Islam advocates coexistence" is trying to create a cosmopolitan space of respect and tolerance, creating a dynamic communication and cultural development (represented in the Arabic expression: haraka baraka, mobility conferring gifts), disease in the exchanges, innovations and a mingling expressed in the various manifestations of life and culture.
Against this background, the "Islamic Association Badr" in the city of Melilla l organizes the congress: "The message of Islam advocates coexistence" inviting them to participate in a space analysis, discussion and reflection on the problems identified.

Since the beginning of the nineties, the Islamic association claimed Badr and promotes actions and socio-cultural nature of Islam. On this occasion, the association aims to conduct a meeting in the autonomous city of Melilla to try to eliminate stereotypes and prejudices tagged with the message of Islam through reliable knowledge on the meaning of Islam by promoting coexistence between people of different spiritual beliefs and, At the same time, disclose the various proposals from the Islamic perspective towards respect and intercultural relations without entailing an obstacle to the good life.

The world in which we live is dominated by its cultural diversity that runs through moments of fracture and segregation among different cultural groups giving rise to misunderstandings, both imaginary and deformed representations about others as such is the case of Muslim and Muslims with new phenomenon of "Islamophobia" caused by ignorance and fear that is the message of Islam. Suddenly, we find ourselves with the media, film and emigration that shape the thoughts of individuals creating misperceptions about different ways of seeing and feeling life.

Globalization compels us to see and live together in one way or another with people from other peoples and cultures into a relationship that makes it inevitable that our own identity being modified and overwhelmed.
